There is a common element between the scammer and the victim … MONEY and GREED!

Many individuals, with good intentions, become victims because of their need and/or desire for money. While a few are just looking for an “easy” way to multiply their money, they all end up with one thing in common, make that two.

First, they become victims and second, they lose at minimum, thousands of dollars.

One of the hottest spots in the world right now for scams is Africa and specifically Ghana. The Internet is full of “offers” from other African cities and countries; just check your e-mail Inbox. But Ghana is a hot-bed for dating scams and big money scams involving GOLD and DIAMONDS.

What we have found through our investigations is that in the U.S. there is many times a middle man that refers the victim to the scammer. A U.S. based company is the home base, legitimizing the scammers in the eyes of the victims. The scammers are intelligent and know their game. They often have multiple scams going at the same time, it’s their business.

In our next Blog we’ll talk more about the scam using real life examples to draw and learn from.

If you or someone you know has become a victim of any type of scam, especially one based in Africa, please contact us, we can possibly help you as we have helped many of our other clients.
