It has been an over 9 year search that President Bush started to find and bring to Justice the master mind of the 9-11 attacks and it is what he set in motion that brought him down. Also we have to thank President Obama for acting like a Commander In Chief and approving the raid.
Since 9-11 I have been active and on the ground in the Middle East and Arabian Gulf and the main problem we always used to discuss was getting into the mountains where he was thought to be hiding. Any one who didn’t fit in including other Muslims didn’t have a chance of getting close. I think they took a page from the USA series In Plain Sight when they decided to go to the Middle of the Country of Pakistani and not just any location but 1’2 mile from the main Military Academy.
You will have to stretch the imagination to think that high government sources weren’t aware that he was there. Experience tells me that the big reason he was in this city near the Military Academy was for his protection and easily warning him of pending raids.
It doesn’t matter where you are in the world when you build a house and compound this large and with all the fortifications that people from all walks of life ask questions, just as we would if it was in our neighbor. The police agencies are much more aware of what goes on in their communities in that part of the world then we are here. In a country such as Pakistani where government overthrow can spring up at any time if a fortified compound with high walls, razor wire and security gates goes up, if they don’t know who is there they will find out.
I think several things drew him from the mountains to the city and I believe the changes in our political structure here affected that. President Bush was known to be a hawk on using the military to find Bin Laden and it was known that they were trying to develop intelligence to get into the mountains to take him down. He felt very secure in the Americans not being able to do that. What changed some of the landscape was when President Obama came into office, he was viewed as being weak in the military area and that he would pull back on the drone attacks and the efforts to authorize raids into Pakistani to find him.
But what happened was Obama actually started more drone attacks and increased the chances of a lucky hit on Bin Laden. I think they thought that it would be safer in closer to populated areas and where we probably wouldn’t do a drone attack. I suspect we will find as the facts come out, if they ever do. that it was in recent times the last year or so that he was living more constantly at this property. Keep in mind that for years Bin Laden, like many other wanted terrorist moved frequently to avoid being targeted by enemies from without and within.
No one really knows how much the death of Bin laden will really change the actions of Al-Qaida for he had worked to spread out the operation side. The big test for the U.S. and other Western powers is to keep our eye on the ball and go after the rest of the organization with the same zeal as Bin-Laden. If we let the death of Bin Laden slow us down in the war on Terror then we will lose.
You have to admit for Bin Laden to hide in plain site was pretty smart and he tried to cover his tracks by not having phone or Internet service to eliminate electronic tracking. But he needed access to the world and his network so he had to use “Carrier Pigeons” or “Human Couriers”. He chose the human courier and their detection led to his down fall. You have to wonder if he really thought that the couriers would avoid detection for ever or if he knew it was a matter of time. But he always said he was willing to die for the cause.
As I said at the beginning we need to be thankful that President Bush was committed to giving the tools to our intelligence and military so they could detect and track the couriers. It was in one of the foreign CIA holding areas that the information came that led to May 1, 2011 being the day Bin Laden was stopped from killing more innocent people.

We have all been following the events in the Middle East and Japan wondering what will be next.
The events in the Middle East and the Arabian Gulf are man made and will change that part of the world for the future. When there is civil strife in a country the real danger is what kind of rule comes out the other side, to many times it is worst then what they had.
The out breaks of violence in Bahrain are different then else where. In Bahrain we have the long history of Iran stoking the fires of conflict to over throw the Sunni government to establish a Shiite government aligned with the radicals in Iran. The events of the last few weeks have changed the status of Bahrain as the gate way to the Gulf with the business friendly atmosphere to one which will be much more guarded. One evidence I had of that was when I left a few days before the demonstrations started I had to prove I had a ticket to fly out to enter from Saudi to go to airport. In the past they took your word for it.
I will over the next few post give you some back ground and up to date intelligence on what is going on in as I get updates daily from the region.
There is a lot more at stake then having some free elections in Bahrain and Saudi Arabia understands that fully. When Saudi Arabia realized several years ago they were the main target of Al Qaeda They started building their prevention and defense to protect their country. Over the last years they realize they could find themselves in the same position as Israel is, surrounded by countries who are looking for opportunities to bring them down. They know the danger of having Iran sponsored terrorist on their borders and what that would do for their security.
It started with the radical groups in Yemen who are armed and trained by Iran and this has turned out to be the border where most of the terrorist who were successfully in making it into Saudi came from. Over the last years they have spent enormous amounts of money and man power to stop them. For the most part they have been successfully.
For the people from the Western world it is hard to understand the deep divide between the people of a country due to a branch of the same religion. The westerner also does not understand the influence and power the tribal make up of the people shape what they do. The tribal relationship is stronger then anything else. The current evidence of that is in Libya where a man like Gadhafi is able to stay in power 41 years mainly because of his tribal connections.
Saudi Arabia is unique in the region as the vast majority of Saudi Shiite people love and support the King. King Abdullah is a man who loves his people and how a person interacts and handles children is for me a judge of the character of a man. King Abdullah goes out of his way to show love and concern for the children of his country which shows his action not just his talk.
The main reason Saudi cannot let Bahrain fall and come under the domination of the task masters in Iran is that it is only a few miles across the Cause Way Bridge to Eastern Saudi Arabia and a large Shiite population who are at this time happy with their King and country. If Iran has its way in Bahrain they will start chipping away and building divisions in Saudi. Keep in mind that the East in Saudi Arabia is where most of the oil wealth of Saudi is and is where Saudi Aramco, the largest oil company in the world is located. This is where a large percent of our oil comes from.
There is a lot to look at for us to understand what is is at stake in the region. Also keep in mind that the Middle East and the Gulf are not ready for of a Democracy or Republic as we have. They don’t have the institutions in place or the history of even free elections to know what to do with it. We need to understand we can’t export our way of life with a election and expect everyone to change from things that have been going on for thousands of years in some cases.
Another factor that is effecting these conflicts is the lack of direction and leadership from our leaders in Washington. This reminds me of the Carter years and how we were viewed as weak and ineffective in the world and I am hearing some of the same comments about our current President from around the world as I did with Carter. We are in for a rough two years ahead.
I will discuss in more detail some of these issues in future post. This is the most important time in my life time that I see the need for us to be informed and fully understand what is going on in the world. Remember Knowledge is power and it is only with all the knowledge possible that we will be able to stay free and safe.
Another big question is the future of Libya. Who will be in power and what will be the government be like?

As the case against the scammers we’ve identified moves into its final stages, we’ve been contacted by many individuals who have been a victim of one type of scam or another. Gold, Diamonds, Counterfeit money, 20K to several hundred thousand and more.
Over the past few weeks, I alone have received over twenty email solicitations from various types of scammers. They send out thousands of emails hoping for those few who will take the bait, offers of large amounts of money, and like the professional fisherman, they get them on the hook and steal as much as possible.
Remember, if a deal is too good to be true, IT IS!!! If they’re makng an exception just for you …THEY”RE NOT!!!
They have one goal, take as much money from you as possible! The scammers believe that they are safe and secure because they are operating in another country and in cities like Ghana or Nigeria. BUT, what they are now discovering is that there are people out there who will fight back. That there are police and government officials that they can’t pay off and who will go after them.
These type of cases take time to investigate. The officials in these governments do not operate on Western time frames. Everything takes a little or a lot longer to do.
Recently some U.S. officials told us that we figured out how the system works and how to get response from local and other officials. When you do things right from the start, develop your case, present the results to the right officials, work with them, and above all … BE PATIENT … good things can happen.
We still want to hear from any one out there who has been a victim of a scam or similiar crime.

The U.S. Department of State recommends that U.S. citizens avoid travel to Egypt due to ongoing political and social unrest.
On January 30, the Department of State authorized the voluntary departure of dependents and non-emergency employees. Violent demonstrations have occurred in several areas of Cairo, Alexandria and other parts of the country, disrupting road travel between city centers and airports. Disruptions in communications, including internet service, may occur.

We’re hearing from individuals all across the globe who unfortunately have become victims of the criminals or SCAMMERS in Ghana. And, as I mentioned before, we’ve even been contacted via email by some of the scammers posing as victims, in order to find out what we know.
Whether you’ve been a victim who’s lost $20k to several millions; we want to hear from you. The only way we can put an end to the scams is if you contact us and tell us your story, what happened to you. A written detailed statement starting from the beginning through to the end, is an essential element for any future arrest and prosecution.
Statements also help determine if there are multiple victims and show a pattern of a crime that can be used in court.
The Ghanaian government wants to put a stop to these scams that are a source of embarrassment to them. But they, we, need your help.
If you’ve received emails or other correspondence about gold or diamond opportunities in Ghana or other foreign countries, please forward that information to us.
