Finally someone is doing something in Benghazi!! It has taken the Libyan Special Forces to arrest an armed group in the city of Benghazi who had over 220 missiles and bomb making material. The US administration has been silent as they try to deceive the American people and more importantly the families of the Americans who died on Sept 11, 2012. The more that has come out is beyond appalling to all Americans but particular to those of us who have served in the Military. If the average American had taken action that resulted in the death of four Americans they would be charged with negligent Homicide, will there be charges filed in this case!!! Don’t hold your breath.
It is time for the American people to stand up and take their government back or our streets will be filled with Boston type attacks being encouraged on by an administration who wants to change the history and fabric of our great nation. If we don’t act then we all will become victims.

The Arab Spring: Can It happen in Saudi Arabia? Not likely. Read below…
King Abdullah
We have heard much about the countries with the so called “Arab Spring” and there is much debate about the effects, is it positive or negative? For what I have seen I see more negative then positive. Yes many of the countries, if not all, had leaders who were abusing their power and needed to be replaced but at what cost? Can you call the Arab Spring positive as many do when what the countries are winding up with is worst then what they were over throwing.
It has been interesting to watch the countries, particular the United States, applaud the take over by terrorist and Israel destroying groups who also want to enslave the very people who put them in power. Because of the left leaning bent of the US government and many others we can expect to see more terrorist groups emboldened to start a civil war knowing that the deceived leaders of many countries will cheer them on.
What about the countries of the Arabian Gulf? Do they have to fear unrest, like Iran tried to foster in Bahrain? And if their is unrest who will the United States and other leaders support?
I have been thinking about this question and an article in the Saudi Gazette caused me to consider that the likely hood of this unrest being in Saudi Arabia is very low. Why? Due to King Abdullah’s leadership and the man he is. This article was titled “A day in the life of King Abdullah” and they interviewed his son Prince Miteb Bin Abdullah. One of the things that stood out to me was the Love that the King has for the Saudi people, which I have seen first hand, and as he prays he first prays for the people before his family. And in return the people of Saudi Arabia love him.
His care and concern goes well beyond just talk for he puts into action things to help his people in tangible ways that helps to meet their daily needs.
Prince Miteb goes on the say: There are people who love their leader, and there are leaders who love their people and dedicate their life to serving them. King Abdullah is the leader for whom his nation and people are the main priorities.
It would seem the United States and others in the West should take note and realize they should give every support the King needs to keep his country safe and free from those who would foster rebellion. It is time we treat our friends as friends all the time not just when it is convenient for us.
Remember every terrorist we stop and help others stop will mean that we will save lives at home.
I encourage you to become informed on what is going on around the world and let your voice be heard to your politicians tell them to support our friends around the world.

The world: Algeria
The Department of State continues to warn U.S. citizens of the risks of travel to Algeria. This replaces the Travel Warning for Algeria dated January 19, 2013, to update information on the current security situation in Algeria, the continuing threat posed by terrorism, and to reiterate information on security incidents and recommendations on security awareness.
Based on an assessment of the current security situation in Algeria, the authorized departure status for U.S. Embassy personnel and their dependents of February 18, 2013 has been lifted.
We urge U.S. citizens who travel to Algeria to evaluate carefully the risks posed to their personal safety. There is a high threat of terrorism and kidnappings in Algeria.
Although the major cities are heavily policed, attacks could still potentially take place. The majority of terrorist attacks, including bombings, false roadblocks, kidnappings, and ambushes occur in areas of the country east and south of Algiers.
Al-Qaida in the Lands of the Islamic Maghreb (AQIM) is active and operates throughout Algeria. In February 2011, AQIM claimed responsibility for the kidnapping of an Italian citizen and her Algerian driver; and also the suicide bomb attack at the Algerian Military Academy in Cherchell, 48 miles west of Algiers in August 2011. The Movement for Unity and Jihad in West Africa (MUJAO) is also active in Algeria. In October 2011, they kidnapped two Spanish nationals and an Italian national from a refugee camp 1,088 miles southwest of Algiers in Tindouf. In March 2012, MUJAO claimed responsibility for the car bomb attack at an Algerian military base 1,196 miles south of Algiers in Tamanrasset and a similar car bomb attack at another base 478 miles south/southeast of Algiers in Ouargla. In January 2013, an AQIM-linked organization: “Those Who Sign in Blood”, led by Moktar Belmoktar, attacked a gas production facility near In Amenas, Algeria. The group held dozens of western and Algerian hostages for four days that resulted in the deaths of dozens of hostages, including three U.S. citizens. Mokhtar Belmokhtar remains a threat and is at large in the region.

We advise that U.S. citizens to avoid overland travel in Algeria. U.S. citizens who reside in or travel to Algeria should take personal security measures prior to travel and we can help with that. If you require assistance please contact our office.

New Interior Minister Prince Mohammed bin Nayef
I am reporting from the ground in Saudi and for those who think it is always 125 degrees here, it is not with a beautiful day in the 60″s actually the weather pattern here is much like southern Calif. except hotter in the summer
Riyadh hotel with the spectacular design
I am ask all the time about safety for Americans here with all the terrorist coming from here and they don’t like Americans. So lets have a 101 course on Saudi American relations. First I feel safer in Riyadh then in down town Los Angeles at night and the truth is a for the most part people here love Americans and are grateful for all we have done to help them develop their country. I am received like family and have developed close family relationship here.
Second Saudi Arabia has become Americas biggest partner in fighting terrorism. Under the Direction of the now Interior Ministry Prince Mohammed bin Nayef they have not only struck at the heart of the terrorist activity here but follow it out of here and in turn have helped America and other countries stop attacks on their soil. They realize what we don’t that if you don’t stamp it out at the source it will keep coming and will in time overwhelm your country. WE WOULD DO WELL TO LEARN FROM THEM.
King Abdullah has been a gift to the world by his leadership and view for the future of Saudi Arabia and this area. One thing I first noticed about him after becoming King was his care for his people particular children. You can judge the character and heart of a man by those tracts. His choice for Interior Minster, after his father died, Prince Mohammed bin Nayef is also that type of man. If you believe in pray, pray for long life for both these men, the future and stablity of this region and in a great sense the world will come from their leadership. More on this in later posts.
Saudi leaders understand the importance of prevention, the best equipment and training. In response to their request I am here showing then the latest breakthrough in body armor and a water craft that will be very effective for operations in this area.
It is very unfortunate that most Americans are so uninformed on this part of the world I would encourage all of you to visit this area and see for your self and become part of the solution by getting the word out on what the real situation here is. Many at the highest levels in Washington don’t get it so it not surprising that the normal citizen doesn’t.
The highest tensions come from Iran’s continued pursuit of the Nuclear bomb and the threat that it would pose to the other countries here not just Israel. I will be back in the East after the meetings in Riyadh to access more from where you can see across the water to Iran.
Until next time Be Safe.

Interior Ministry Saudi Arabia
Thank you King Abdullah for making Prince bin Nayef the new Interior Ministry of your country.
I have been involved in the Gulf for the last 8 years and have developed very close family and business relationships with families of influence and with that has come trust and with that access to things that are happening. Some of my Saudi friends were thinking I was drinking some bad tea when I said months ago that Prince bin Nayef would be named the interior minister after his fathers death, but it was based on good information.
Over the last 3 or 4 years it became very clear that the King thought very highly of Prince bin Nayef even over his sons, Prince Nayef is his nephew. For some years Prince Nayef has been the leader of the Kingdom’s efforts to stop terrorism in the country. He was also given the responsibly to direct the war along the Yemen border and was the only person in the Kingdom who was given by the King the ability to make decisions on his own and take action. There are many reasons for this close relationship of these two leaders and at the top is that they both want to see progressive change in Saudi to open up the country in every area including women’s rights.
The way things work in the Kingdom is what we call the pecking order or seniority and that is why the top jobs always go to the next in line no matter what the age or ability. The King has been working to change that for many years for he does not want to have the country go back ward when he passes. He has worked hard for change but has had to go slow due to the resistance from the hard liners but he has been patient and working steadily for change. Even in this case he followed the Saudi way and appointed the older half brother to be Interior Minister when Prince Nayef died. This headed off problems within in the family and when you have worked in the Kingdom you find that to get things done it takes 4-5 months to get decisions, this is the way the family works.
All alone the goal was to have Prince bin Nayef the Interior Minister and it happened this week, and I suspect the way was cleared for the change by design not volunteer. Now Prince bin Nayef is in the line to be King and It would not surprise me if it was sooner then later. Don’t under estimate King Abdullah and his planning for he is very focused on leaving the Kingdom in the hands of a progressive who will continue his vision for the future Saudi Arabia.
At the end of the day we can thank King Abdullah for his foresight and bravery in the mist of resistance from hard liners around him. This is a blessing for Saudi and for the world particular the US for we will have a partner in Prince bin Nayef who understands the terrorist threat and how to defeat it. Be praying for safety and long life for King Abdullah and Prince bin Nayef.
Until next time Be Safe:
